Tertiary source rocks quality and kerogen maturity are characterized using Rock-Eval pyrolysis and microphotometry. Hydrocarbon generation zones were evaluated by kinetic modeling calibrated on organic matter maturity parameters. Top of oil generation zone is reached at about 2250 m in the northern part and in a depth range of 800 to 1250 m in the central and southern parts of depression.
